Event Blog: Interview

Many resturants are serving healthier products as a part of the initative to get American's eating healthier. Chipotle is one that prides itself on all organic meats and fresh vegatables, not serving any processed or hormone loaded food. They strive to serve Food with Intergity, claiming the desires of their business to "find the best ingredients, raised with respect for the animals, the environment, and the farmers."

The manager of the Chipotle located on Evans and Gilpin, Suzanne Cervantes, said that "Chiptole only has food that is organic and much of it is local. Also, there are no hormones in our meat." When asked if the oragnic, non-processed ingredients hurts or hinder Chiptole business as all, she expresses that "it is definetly more expensive, but it is an important part of Chipotle food."

The perogative to stay healthy and fresh is getting freaky this Halloween when Chipotle puts on Boorito, planned for stores on October 31st. Burritos will only be $2, and customers are encourgaed to dress in a horrifying costume in the terrorifying likeness of processed food. Proceeds from this event will go to the Jamie Oliver Food Revolution, a national campaige that is encouraging healthier eating for Americans.
