Congressional candidate Ed Perlmutter, the 7th Congressional District incumbent, is gearing up for what many say will be a highly contentious race against Republican nominee Ryan Frazier, a member of the Aurora City Council.
Key ballot issues for Perlmutter include education, healthcare, immigration and reform on Wall Street, among others. Perlmutter’s platform includes establishing a new consumer finance protection agency, increasing transparency on Wall Street and strengthening investor protection laws. Perlmutter also is in favor of tighter immigration laws and establishing a path to citizenship for immigrants.
Perlmutter will be speaking at the Hebrew Educational Alliance on Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. He also will debate opposing candidates Buck Bailey, Libertarian candidate, and Frazier on Oct. 8 at the Wheat Ridge City Council Chamber. The debate is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
